5th August 2016
Reception: Holburne Museum
Photographer: Gary Saunders Photography
Rachael and Dan first met back in 2014 at a Bar in the city of Bath.
At the time, Dan was actually living in Cyprus so many of their “first dates” took place on Skype. Though, every chance Dan had he would to come back to England and claim it was for "work", when in reality it was all just for Rachael!
The loved up couple tell us that choosing the wedding venue was super easy – They had one of their very first dates at the Holburne Museum and have always loved the place, as well as Rachael's Dad being involved in the new extension at the museum, so the place was PERFECT for them!
The couple have also always had a love for festivals and wanted to incorporate this into their wedding day. Back In 2015, the couple took part in a hand fasting ceremony at Glastonbury Festival to show their commitment to each other (HOW AMAZING IS THIS!?). They arranged for the gardens to be decorated with festoon lights and bunting, and they even hired some traditional garden games to keep the guests entertained.
With close friends and family being invited to the wedding day. The couple were keen to get everyone involved as much as they could so Rachael's mum grew and arranged all of the flowers, and Rachael's sister made the wedding cake.
“When looking for a photographer, we really loved Gary's work online, but when we got to meet him in person we knew he was right for our day. Throughout everything he was relaxed and professional, with a great sense of humour.”
So on the 5th August 2016, the couple had a truly wonderful wedding day, and now, Dan is back in England and they finally have time to enjoy being husband and wife. (Yay!)
Congratulations to you both!
